"I can still make a difference
with the words I write,
pry open some closed minds,
fill ravaged hearts with hope;
sing songs of possibility,
right some wrongs."
from the poem "I can still..." copyright 2006, Tara Bradford
Tara Bradford is an American living la vie Parisienne since 2000. Currently she is writing a book. A former newspaper and television reporter and Middle East correspondent, Bradford is a freelance writer, poet, photographer and author of the Paris Parfait weblog. Her photographs appear in the 2008 edition of the Blue Guides book "Art/ shop/ eat Paris."
In 2008, Paris Parfait has been the focus of study for two courses at universities in Georgia and Arizona. Paris Parfait has been featured in The Seattle Post-Intelligencer, The Albuquerque Journal, Crooks and Liars political blog and CNN.com.
Bradford closely follows politics in the US, Europe and the Middle East and finds it dismaying that unfortunate antics of Bush & Co. have contributed to increased anti-American sentiment abroad.
Bradford enjoys searching for antiques and collectibles in brocantes and flea markets of France, England and Spain. She has been known to sell the occasional treasure, for want of space in her bijoux Paris apartment (and to make room for her next discovery). She is married to a charming and clever Brit who works for an international organisation. Her talented daughter attends university in the US. Bradford has lived in New York, San Francisco, Santa Fe, London, Paris and Amman, Jordan. She has studied Spanish in Seville, Spain.
